Chattanooga is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chattanooga follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It's such an amazing and well organized place. So many places to take pictures. We went on a weekday morning where it wasn't busy, so we had time to stop and enjoy all of it. I was really impressed with this aquarium!

We had a great time at the Tennessee Aquarium! It’s a fun experience, but definitely expect a lot of walking. The setup was really cute, and the otters and lemurs were a great touch. We had a 9:30 AM entry time, which I would recommend because it gave us plenty of time to explore before it got too crowded. I would suggest starting with River Journey and then heading over to Ocean Journey. We did have some issues with the photos we took there; for some reason, they never showed up on my phone. Thankfully, they emailed them to us afterward, and we were able to get them. The aquarium is in an amazing location with beautiful surroundings. Come early if you want good parking! When we left around 1:30 PM, parking was much harder to find, and it took about 10 minutes just to exit the area. Also, pay to park; several tickets were on cars for $40+ if you do not pre-pay. No offense, but after walking through the aquarium and seeing everything, I don’t think I could have added the IMAX theater on top of it. The aquarium alone was a full experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Tennessee Aquarium was one of the highlights of my trip! The exhibits are beautifully designed, and it’s easy to spend several hours exploring. I especially enjoyed the River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings—the variety of marine life, colorful fish, playful otters, and amazing sharks made the experience unforgettable. Everything was clean, well-organized, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great place for families, couples, or anyone who loves nature and wildlife. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in Chattanooga—definitely worth the time and money!

Went to the Aquarium last weekend and it was a blast. There are two large buildings. One is fresh water and the other is salt water. You enter and go up long escalators to the top floor. Then work your way down through the exhibits. The layout is really well thought out. They have an abundance of aquatic life in both buildings. The saltwater building has a massive butterfly garden on the top. I loved touching the sturgeons, the interactive exhibits, the lemurs, and all the photo opportunities. By far my favorite exhibit was the river otters. We did buy the picture you take at the beginning as it had a lot of options. The outside has many opportunities to cool off in streams, pools and the water stairs by the river. This is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon with the family. I definitely recommend a visit, especially if you have kids. This was one of the best aquariums I've been to so far.

My family and I had a great time! From the butterfly house to petting the sting rays and seeing the penguins eat and alligators. I honestly enjoyed this experience better than the Georgia aquarium. The atmosphere was great! Peaceful! And I got some steps in. The only thing I would add is some more food trucks outside, but we went on a weekday so ya never know.
